You may become pregnant as early as a week after the removal of implant.
NEXPLANON is over 99% effective (less than 1 pregnancy per 100 women who used NEXPLANON for 1 year), which means it’s just as effective as the pill. Implant does not need to be taken daily, weekly or monthly. It’s not known if Implant is as effective in very overweight women because clinical studies of Implant did not include many overweight women.
